Are you or someone you know having a baby soon? Want to get them the time-honored tradition of a silver baby spoon? Why not make it yourself and attach memories to your gift! In the past, it was a tradition to give a baby a silver spoon as a gift at their baptism or to symbolize wealth, prosperity, and good luck. This tradition dates back to the 16th century when silver was a precious metal.
In this class, you will learn fundamental skills of sawing, shaping, texturizing, and finishing sterling silver. These skills will open the door to so many future jewelry projects!
At the end of this 4-hour class, you will leave with a brand-new heirloom sterling silver baby spoon you and your family can cherish for years to come!
In this course you will learn:
- How to saw, shape, texture, and finish sterling silver
 What you will take home:
- Your very own sterling silver baby spoon
- Knowledge of basic and fundamental metal working: sawing, texturing, shaping, and finishing metal. This is a great foundation for any other class you take, or any project you want to work on
